My mom found this cute mini quilt in the “English Paper Piecing: Fresh New Quilts from Bloom Creek” book. She made it for a mini quilt auction and absolutely loved it. I also loved it, so I decided to make one. Since my mom had to give hers away, I decided to give it to her.
The Dresden Plates are put together via EPP. The quilt is supposed to be framed, but both my mom and I chose to bind it.
I decided to not do the rest by hand and instead machine appliqued everything.
I did some extremely small grid quilting on the pin dot background fabric and I LOVE IT!
I found the 30’s print for the back from Demelia’s in Yoder, KS. She had this and some other 30’s repros in her sale section for $5 per yard. I picked up a yard and probably won’t use any more of it. It will likely be given away to one of my more traditional friends.
I love to EPP and this is definitely my favorite EPP project so far.

Wow – that is so pretty, I feel like I’m stepping back in time.
Hope you have had a great holiday and looking forward to seeing you all at the retreat very soon. Happy New Year!-
I love being the recipient of this. Thanks so much.

The cool thing about the pattern is the way the blades alternate curved and pointed. Your quilting is incredible in this piece.
