I’ve finished up a couple of bee blocks recently.
For one of the bees I’m in, a member asked us to make an improv block. I’m not a huge fan of improv, so I went with the improv log cabin block. It turned out as one of my better improv blocks.
For another bee, a member asked us to create a house block. Well, I don’t live in a house.
That’s our condo building – WallStreet Tower. I’m actually going to be making another block for her since I was too scared to cut into the fabric she gave me in case my plan for this condo block didn’t work. However, I kept within the color palette, so maybe she can use this block in the quilt. If not, maybe on the back. I’m just happy that my plan worked out so I don’t really care what happens to it!
On a random note, my sister turned 23 this month and my parents came to visit.
There’s our happy family minus Andrew. I was already in the suburbs and didn’t want to have separate vehicles and I didn’t want to drive home and get him. Don’t worry though! He didn’t even pretend to be disappointed since a certain video game recently came out and his entire friend group, including my sister’s husband, has been obsessively playing it. (If you aren’t a video game person, this game is Grand Theft Auto. You have still probably heard about it.)
Finally, the last somewhat random picture is of Debbie’s finished table runner.
I mentioned this in my retreat post. I think Becky ended up with this runner. The green polka dot in the middle was the FQ that Debbie received. I kind of like Halloween stuff even though I’m not a big holiday decorator. (<—HUGE understatement.) But for real, how cute is that pumpkin!?!
