Chambray Wiksten Tank Dress

I made another Wiksten Tank, but in dress length this time.

I bought some Robert Kaufman chambray at Sarah’s the last time I was there specifically for this project. The chambray has little polka dots all over it.

I like the length, the neckline, and the fit (for the most part) of this pattern. I didn’t do any alterations except I did not finish it with bias binding. SERIOUSLY! BAN BIAS BINDING FINISHES ON CLOTHING!! I lined it instead, which is SOOOOOOOO much easier and faster. This dress took like an hour to finish after I had cut it out.

I lined it with some solid voile that I had lying around from when Bon Bon went out of business.

It kind of needs a belt though. For me, at least. And a cardigan because I’m always cold. Plus a scarf since it’s still freakin winter here.

I think my favorite part of this dress is the hemline. It feels girly.

Also, I bought a lot of this chambray and barely used any of it for this dress, so I’ll get to make another garment from it!

P.S. Did you notice that I lightened my hair again? It’s seriously light this time, which I love.

Love the dress, but you’re right, it needs a belt to give it more shape. Very cute! And also love your hair!
