Behold the first of two crossword quilt tops. This will be the “Latham” one. I plan on finishing the “Gates” one next weekend. I’ll probably add a border before sending them off to be quilted. I sewed A LOT this weekend. Actually, it’s probably not a lot in comparison to what some people sew, but it was a lot for me. And I LOVED every single minute of it. I can’t wait to do it again next weekend at during the quilting retreat!

I found the inspiration in an old quilting magazine from 1990. I try to do something new with each quilt so I’m going to use fabric paint to add the letters.
I created my own retreat with some family and friends that quilt or are interested in quilting. 🙂
