I turn 24 today.
Starbucks gives you a free drink on your birthday. I totally took advantage of that this morning.
The Starbucks lady was the first person (in person) to wish me a happy birthday. (Technically, Andrew told me last night, but I don’t think it was past midnight, so I don’t know if that counts.)
Kristen, one of my best friends, was the first to text me this morning.
Micah, another good friend, was the first person to write on my Facebook wall.
My grandparents were the first to call me followed closely by my mom. They told me the story of the day I was born. My dad had left to go on one last trip. After that trip, he was going to take two weeks off so he could be home when I was born. Well, I was early and was born the day he left. He stopped for fuel or food or something and the people in the gas station greeted him with, “Hello, Dad.” I’m always early.
We’re going to eat sushi tonight per my request. Otherwise, I’m perfectly happy with this being a normal day…except for the free Starbucks; that was awesome.
