Guess what I did almost all weekend? That’s right. I sewed.
I finished this quilt top and got it sandwiched. The binding is also ready.
I have started quilting it, but haven’t gotten very far because my right wrist hurts because of the amount of fabric I have to wrestle around. I think it’s going to take up a good amount of my time.
I am insanely busy at work, meaning I don’t feel like doing anything when I get home. I have forced myself to make dinner at least four nights a week and work out at least three. Therefore, I have almost zero time during the weekdays to quilt. I will not comment on my mood because of the quilting withdrawal. Luckily, watching Weeds requires no effort and makes me happy. If I didn’t have every single seasons of Weeds available on Netflix instant watch, I would probably spiral into a deep depression involving a lot of sweat pants and ice cream since I can’t muster up the energy to quilt. I wouldn’t know what I would do without the weekends, but I think most people feel that way.
On a brighter note, the North Central Kansas Free Fair is in less than two weeks and my mom, my aunt, and myself have entered a bunch of quilting projects. I cannot wait to see how we all do! I am also planning on spending a good chunk of my paycheck at Sew Country to take advantage of their awesome fat quarter special on August 6th. Yay for specials!
