I’m pretty proud of this thing. Every single inch of it was completed by hand.
It was a lot of work and it took forever. I’m still not a fan of the prints and colors, but at least I enjoyed doing it.
The hand quilting looks so cool on the back.
I love how the hexie pattern is visible on the back, too, with the quilting.
Now that this runner is done, I’ve already started on another EPP project using leftover V & Co Simply Color scraps. Shocking, right? That project will definitely end up in my house.
In other news, I bought some pretty fabric.
PickYourPlum.com had this as one of their daily deals. I couldn’t resist because it was so cheap. It’s not 100% cotton and it’s pretty thin so once I wash it, I think it will be great for scarves.
I also wanted to test chevrons used in a Dresden plate for a later quilt idea, so I pulled some green and red chevron fabric from my fat quarter basket.
I love it. It kind of makes your eyes bleed, but in a good way. My test worked so you’ll probably see a chevron Dresden plate quilt sometime in the future. Hopefully the far future because I have some serious quilting to do. This Dresden will probably because a wall hanging to hang on our door for Christmas. I missed Christmas in July so I guess this makes up for it.
