I got a head start on November’s bee blocks and already posted the x and plus blocks that I completed.
The Improv Chevron block for one of my KC Scrappy Bee groups uses mostly Denyse Schmidt fabric. The tutorial is from Jacquie at Tallgrass Prairie Studio.
Note: If you make this block, watch where your points of the chevrons are. you can see in the middle of my block that a lot of the points veer to the right. I correct it toward the end, but that’s what happens when you are just sewing away and not paying attention.
Those two blocks are for the Lovely Linen Bee that I’m in. The block is complete linen, even the print! I like working with linen, but it requires a very hot iron. My iron isn’t the best, but I was working on these at a retreat and there was a very hot iron there. These are blocks for the Lap of Luxe quilt from Art Gallery/The Fat Quarter Gang.
Finally, I worked on some of my own blocks for the Whatever Bee.
I now have three of these blocks and can’t wait to see these all together. By the way, Dresden Plates are super easy. These took me no time at all.

All these blocks are so pretty but especially the ones for the Whatever Bee – such a cool star pattern! Very striking.
