Orange and aqua are huge right now. I know everybody is saying purple is the color of the year, but I think aqua and orange will give it a pretty good go.
My co-worker and friend is moving into her first post-college apartment and she’s going with an orange/aqua color scheme for her main living area. I agreed to help out by making some pillow covers.
These are some pretty fancy pillow covers with piping and a hidden zipper.
I love Joel Dewberry. This print, Tile Flourish in Amber from his Heirloom line, is seriously one of my favorite prints of all time.
The piping and back is Kona Pool. It’s a shade darker than the aqua in the print, but I think it makes it pop well.
Gah…that print! It’s so pretty. I desperately wanted to keep these for myself, but I don’t have aqua and orange decor in my house. It’s a travesty, I know. Luckily, I still have plenty of the Tile Flourish and the Pool so I’m sure they’ll pop up in a project soon.

Love these colors, orange and blue are opposites on the color wheel and look great. And the extra cool choice of fabrics makes it totally rock!

I actually scrapbook those colors together all the time – they look great together in any crafting effort. 🙂

Being your friend really pays off! Love the piping!
