It was a rough week with no quilting. However, Seattle was beautiful. I’m in love with the city and think that I’ll definitely have to live there for a couple of years someday. I had some time between the conference and our flights (or our flights and the conference, whichever you prefer), so I was able to do some exploring. I saw Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, and a glass blowing shop. Guess what I found? Yup, a quilt shop. And I bought fabric from a local designer. The quilt shop was Under Cover Quilts and the fabric is called “Pikette.” There was also a beautiful log cabin quilt on display made with blues and grays. I think that could be a future project. It was the most beautiful quilt I have seen. Everybody is having sales and I am forcing myself to not buy fabric so I can have some extra spending money when we go to Hawaii next month. Wish me luck.
