One of my friends from the KC Modern Quilt Guild is hosting a 10″ square (layer cake) rainbow swap.
She’s trying to keep it local to KC/the KC area. If you want to participate, you’ll end up buying three yards of fabric…1.5 yards of two colors. I have been assigned red and red-orange. The color assignments will be from the spokes on the color wheel.
Here’s some ideas of what you can do with the squares:
Nikki’s Rainbow Quilt – This would be a fast and easy and very pretty gift.
My Rainbow Quilt – If you had a layer cake you wanted to use, this is a great project.
Big Squares Quilt – Those squares are a little larger than 10″, but the concept is still valid.
Chevron Quilt – You know how I love chevrons, so this would be at the top of my list.
Arrows Quilt – I don’t even know what to say about this quilt because it’s really really really really cool.
Small Squares Quilt – You’d have to cut the squares down for this quilt, but it could work.
See how many things you can do with those squares?
If you want to join the swap, the squares have to be turned in by May. You can sign up by joining the Flickr group.
I hope you join!
