I’ve been wanting a slouchy beanie for awhile, but I haven’t been able to find a “classy” one in any store. While on the flight to and from Austin, I crocheted this one.
I found the pattern on Ravelry. I’m not an experienced crocheter and even though this was supposed to be an easy pattern, I had quite a bit of trouble when I got the last few rows and had to “turn” without slipstitching. It took me twice the time to complete those last few row than it took to complete the entire rest of the hat. I almost gave up several times. And it still didn’t turn out perfectly, but it’s done and the less than perfect part is hidden.
I hate the colors on the patter, but I love how the gray worked out.
I’ve worn this a few days now when I haven’t wanted to do my hair and it’s awesome. It’s definitely going to become a wardrobe staple.
