Thanks, Penny!

Have you met Penny from sewtakeahike? Well, that’s too bad because she’s awesome.

Penny was our speaker at the KCMQG meeting in June. She also taught a couple of paper piecing classes. Unfortunately, I did not attend because I had to work, but I did get to spend some time with Penny. On Friday evening, some of the officers and students from her class went out to dinner at Free State Brewery in Lawrence, KS. Side note: I miss Lawrence…especially Mass. St.

Anyway, Penny is fabulous. I heard so many great things about her classes. I usually stay away from classes unless I know about the teacher. If I ever get a chance again to take a class from Penny, I will. Everybody said she was a great teacher, very interactive, enthusiastic, and fun.

And she’s insanely nice and generous. (Another side note: Is insanely nice a nice thing to say or a mean thing to say? Let me clarify. I mean the word insane in the best way possible.)

At the KCMQG picnic last week, Melissa handed me two items.

Penny's Potholder

Penny's Potholder

A super cute potholder that matches my red kitchen.

Penny's Bag

And an adorable drawstring bag. I think this is a linen and it’s LOVELY!

Penny's Cup

Penny's Cup

Inside was a coffee cup with some adorable paper pieced blocks printed on the outside.

This was all from Penny! She gave all of the officers these gifts. How fabulous is that? As I said, she is insanely nice and super generous.

So…if you haven’t, check out her blog. Also, if you get a chance to see her speak or take one of her classes or meet her in any way, DO IT!

In case you forget, her blog is:

Penny's Cup

How freakin’ cute is that?
