I like doing my part. So I joined in and made a flag for #tobostonwithlove.
If you haven’t heard about it, I believe the Vancouver Modern Quilt Guild started the project. Go to their blog and look around. They have three or four posts related to the project.
A tutorial and inspiration are in one post. Shipping info is in another.
I decided to use chevrons since that’s my signature and then neon since it’s my new favorite.
I even used neon thread to applique the heart on.
The KCMQG offered to mail the flags if we brought ours to the last meeting, so this one will be on it’s way shortly.
What’s really cool is that the Museum of Fine Arts will be exhibiting all of the flags in the Shapiro Family Courtyard from May 23rd to June 16th.
The deadline is May 21st so there’s still time to make a flag and send it. If you need more inspiration, the To Boston With Love Flickr group has a bunch of pictures.
