I’ve been working on the truck blocks that I’m planning on making into pillows for my dad, grandpa, and uncle. The yellow one is for my uncle. It’s his favorite color and he had a lot of trucks that were yellow.
I had worked on a blue one that was going to be for my dad, but I didn’t like how it turned out. I’m going to make another. I’ve cut out the pieces for the other two. Obviously, the red is going to be for grandpa. I’m pretty sure he doesn’t have a favorite color and doesn’t really care what color of truck he is driving as long as he is driving. My mom found the awesome material for the trailers. I’m switching the trailer fabric up for dad since his will be “special” since I’m giving the pillows to them on Father’s Day.
The whole idea for the truck pillows came from Melissa at Happy Quilting. The measurements for the block are at her Flickr group Beejeebers. I had to re-do the measurements a bit to have a refrigerated trailer look.
