The Kansas City Modern Quilt Guild is having a quilt show. I am so excited for this show. I have signed up six of my quilts for the show. I cannot wait to see all of the other quilts!
If you have any questions about the event, please let me know. I will try to answer them or get them answered for you.
I was barely able to get started on a new quilt this weekend. I am still working on the curtains for Kate, which I think will be a long project. We have a deadline, though. Kate’s mom is coming to visit toward the end of October and we would like to finish them before then. Totally doable. I was able to do some paper piecing for labels this weekend.
I LOVE paper piecing. I know I’ve said that before, but I really love it. It’s so easy and there’s an adorable finished project in just a very short time.
I also bought fabric. During Joann’s Labor Day sale, they had precuts and fat quarters on sale. I bought these two bundles and some fat quarters.
A lot of the fabric was awful meaning not pretty or very poor quality. These two bundles didn’t seem so bad. They definitely are pretty. The quality is not designer quality and it doesn’t feel like burlap. Can I keep buying fabric even if I don’t know what to do with it?
