I’m a sucker for voile, especially from Bon Bon, especially by Amy Butler, and especially at 30% off. Since I had it on hand, I couldn’t just let it sit for very long.
Voila! (<—–Get it?) I know you can’t get a good idea of it on the hanger, but it’s pretty awesome. The pattern is the Easy Kimono Short Sleeved Dress from Pattern Runway.
I’ve worn it twice with a thick brown belt and it looks AWESOME! I absolutely love the print and the pattern instructions were FABULOUS! They are way better than the last dress I made. When you order the PDF pattern, you also get a link with pictures and instructions in addition to the regular pattern instructions. How awesome is that? However, I will tell you…when you are creating the button loop, forget turning that super tiny tube. It didn’t work for me. I got frustrated and I made a loop just like I made bag handles, which worked just fine.
Isn’t the keyhole cute? And the button? The pattern tells you use a covered button, but I found this button in my stash and I LOVE IT!
LOVE!
Look what I got in the mail the other day!
That’s elastic…in a lot of fun colors and styles. PickYourPlum.com had a deal on it the other day and I couldn’t pass it up. There have been a lot of things that I have wanted to buy, but this is only the second time I’ve ordered.
I know these pictures aren’t great because of the plastic wrap, but I have a problem unwrapping things until I use them. They are so neat and pretty in the wrapper.
I have no idea when I’m going to use this elastic or on what, but I’m excited to find something. If you have any ideas, let me know!
