As I mentioned in my Tank post, I’ve been wanting to make the Tova Top for a while. I’m sooooo glad I finally did. This top is AMAZING!
I feel so pretty when I wear it. I used a FreeSpirit solid voile for the main top and then an Amy Butler Voile for the inset, placket, collar, and sleeve cuffs. I love the little details. I also lined the inset and I’m very glad I did.
The fit is great. I made an XS and didn’t have to make any alterations. I didn’t even alter the hem from the pattern! The length is great. I thought this was going to be a difficult pattern, but the instructions were fabulous and it wasn’t hard at all. I had a little trouble with the inset on the corner and a little trouble with the collar, but it ended up making sense after reading it a few times and actually sewing it.
The voile is amazing. It’s soo soft and so great to wear. I’m very exited to make more Tovas!
